Promoting hygiene through education in Burkina Faso
Providing access to education and hygiene, in order to improve the sanitary conditions of the most vulnerable, is one of Aide et Action’s missions.
In Obdaga, Burkina Faso, the only school in the village did not have functional latrines, or access to drinking water. To help its 236 students and to improve their living conditions, four latrines and a borehole have been installed. In addition, a health centre, also with a latrine and access to water, was built within the village no longer have to travel the 12 km, round trip, to the old health centre. In addition, activities around nutrition have also been implemented within the school.

Supporting the production of anti-COVID-19 masks in India
In Assam state, the weaving community, usually in high demand for the Bihu celebrations - cancelled this year due to the pandemic -
switched to producing washable masks and manufacturing hygiene kits to help protect against COVID-19. Distributed by Aide et Action to children and their families, these kits are also being sold in health centres and donated free of charge to carers, police and the general public. This support guarantees the income of many professionals, strongly impacted by the crisis.
